Kyrgyzstan Industrial Output Rises The Most Since 2017
Industrial production in Kyrgyzstan went up 34.4 percent year-on-year in June of 2019, accelerating from a 20.8 percent jump in the previous month. It was the strongest increase since July of 2017, as output advanced faster for manufacturing (38.9 percent vs 22.9 percent in May); mining & quarrying (49.6 percent vs 29.3 percent) and water supply and sewerage (3.7 percent vs 0.5 percent). On the other hand, electricity, gas, steam and air conditioning production increased at a softer pace (0.6 percent vs 6.6 percent).

Kyrgyzstan Industrial Output Growth Slows in May
Industrial production in Kyrgyzstan rose 20.8 percent year-on-year in May 2019, easing from a 21.4 percent jump in the previous month. Output went up at a softer pace for manufacturing (22.9 percent vs 25.9 percent in April), mainly production of vehicles (9.4 percent vs 32.5 percent) and for water supply and sewerage (0.5 percent vs 25 percent. On the other hand, mining & quarrying rebounded (29.3 percent vs -30.2 percent) while electricity, gas, steam and air conditioning production advanced faster (6.6 percent vs 4.0 percent).

Kyrgyz Industrial Output Growth at 5-Month High of 21.4%
Industrial production in Kyrgyzstan rose 21.4 percent year-on-year in April 2019, accelerating from a 17.8 percent surge in the prior month. It was the biggest gain since November 2018, as output increased faster for manufacturing (25.9 percent from 21.1 percent in March), due to a rise in basic metals production (53.6 percent vs 41.1 percent); electricity, gas, steam & air conditioning supply (4.0 percent vs 0.3 percent) and for water supply & waste treatment (25 percent vs 13 percent). In contrast, mining & quarrying production fell (-30.2 percent vs 32.7 percent).

Kyrgyz Industrial Output Growth Quickens in March
Industrial production in Kyrgyzstan rose 17.8 percent year-on-year in March 2019, accelerating from an 8.1 percent surge in the prior month. It was the biggest gain since November 2018, as manufacturing output increased sharply (21.1 percent from 9.7 percent in February), due to a rise in vehicles production (65.1 percent from 4.6 percent) and basic metals (45.4 percent from 27.5 percent) while electricity, gas, steam & air conditioning supply rebounded (0.3 percent from -2.7 percent). In contrast, output grew at a softer pace for mining & quarrying (32.7 percent from 77.7 percent) and for water supply & waste treatment (13 percent from 15.4 percent). Considering the first three months of 2019, industrial production grew 14.2 percent over a year ago.

Kyrgyz Industrial Output Growth at 6-Month Low of 8.1%
Industrial production in Kyrgyzstan rose 8.1 percent year-on-year in February 2019, slowing from a 15.7 percent surge in the prior month. It is the slowest increase in industrial activity since August. Output rose less for manufacturing (9.7 percent vs 20.5 percent in January) and it shrank for electricity, gas, steam & air conditioning supply (-2.7 percent vs -2.5 percent). In contrast, production grew sharply for mining & quarrying (77.7 percent vs 68.8 percent), amid a surge in extraction of metal ores (182.4 percent vs 140.8 percent); and water supply & waste treatment (15.4 percent vs 10.6 percent). Considering the first two months of 2019, industrial production grew 12.2 percent over a year ago.

Kyrgyz Industrial Output Growth at 4-Month Low of 10%
Industrial production in Kyrgyzstan rose 10 percent year-on-year in December 2018, following a 32.1 percent jump in the prior month. It is the slowest increase in industrial activity since August. Output grew less for manufacturing (11.3% vs 35% in November) and electricity, gas, steam & air conditioning supply (1.0% vs 21.3%), mostly electricity (0.4% vs 19.5%) and gas (1.6% vs 30.6%). In contrast, production picked up for water supply & waste treatment (30% vs 22.5%) and mining & quarrying (9.2% vs 4.9%), namely the extraction of coal and lignite (29.5% vs 23.8%). Considering the full year of 2018, industrial activity advanced 5.4 percent over a year ago.
