Lithuania Inflation Rate Edges Up to 1.7% in November
Annual inflation rate in Lithuania inched higher to 1.7 percent in November 2019 from 1.6 percent in the previous month. Food & non-alcoholic beverages inflation rose to 4.1 percent, the highest in three months, from 3.6 percent in October. In addition, prices fell softer for both transport (-1.5% vs -3.2% in October) and communication (-0.8% vs -1%). Meantime, prices advanced softer for: alcoholic beverages & tobacco (2.6% vs 3%); hotels, cafes, restaurant (5.8% vs 6.4%); miscellaneous goods & services (1.9% vs 2.5%), and recreation & culture went up faster (2.2% vs 2.8%). On the other hand, furnishing & household equipment inflation was steady (at 1.4%). Conversely, cost of clothing & footwear edged down (-0.1 % vs 0.2%), while those of housing & utilities declined further (-2.7% vs -2.2). On a monthly basis, consumer prices were unchanged in November, after a 0.1 percent gain in October.

Lithuania Inflation Rate at 3-Year Low in October
Annual inflation rate in Lithuania fell to 1.6 percent in October 2019, the lowest since November 2016, from 2.2 percent in the previous month. Food & non-alcoholic beverages inflation edged down to 3.6 percent, the lowest in four months, from 3.7 percent in September Also, prices advanced at a slower rate for alcoholic beverages & tobacco (3% vs 3.3% in September); furnishing & household equipment (1.4% vs 2.5%); hotels, cafes, restaurant (6.4% vs 6.5%); and miscellaneous goods & services (2.5% vs 2.6%). In addition, cost fell further for housing & utilities (-2.2% vs -0.9%), transport (-3.2% vs -0.6%), and communication (-1% vs -1.9%). Conversely, prices of recreation & culture went up faster (2.8% vs 2.7%), while those of clothing & footwear rebounded (0.2 % vs flat reading). On a monthly basis, consumer prices rose 0.1 percent in October, after a 0.9 percent in September.

Lithuania Inflation Rate at 7-Month Low of 2.2%
Annual inflation rate in Lithuania decreased to 2.2 percent in September 2019 from 2.6 percent in the previous month. This was the lowest inflation rate since February, as food & non-alcoholic beverages prices rose 3.7 percent, the least since June, after a 5.1 gain in August. Also, prices increased softer for both recreation & culture (2.7% vs 3.5%) and alcoholic beverages & tobacco (3.3% vs 3.8%). In addition, prices fell for housing & utilities (-0.9% vs 0.9%); transport (-0.6% vs -0.2%) and communication (-1.9% vs -2.4%). Meanwhile, cost went up faster for miscellaneous goods & services (2.6% vs 2.3%); furnishing & household equipment (2.5% vs 1.8%); and hotels, cafes, restaurant 6.5% vs 6.1%). At the same time, inflation was steady for clothing & footwear (vs -1.6%). On a monthly basis, consumer prices rose 0.9%, rebounding from a 0.4% drop in August.

Lithuania Inflation Rate Edges Down to 2.6%
Annual inflation rate in Lithuania decreased to 2.6 percent in August 2019 from 2.7 percent in the previous month. Prices slowed for housing & utilities (0.9% vs 3.4% in July), recreation & culture (3.5% vs 3.7%), and miscellaneous goods & services (2.3% vs 2.8%). In addition, cost fell for clothing & footwear (-1.6% vs -2%), transport (-0.2 % vs -1.2%), and communication (-2.4%, the same as in July). Meantime, inflation was steady for both furnishing & household equipment (at 1.8%); and hotels, cafes, restaurant (at 6.1%), while cost of alcoholic beverages & tobacco increased faster (3.8% vs 3.7%) and prices of food & non-alcoholic beverages rose by 5.1 percent, the most since October 2017, after a 4.6 gain in July. On a monthly basis, consumer prices fell 0.4% in August, after a 0.3% drop in July.

Lithuania Inflation Rate Rises to 2.7% in July
Annual inflation rate in Lithuania rose to 2.7 percent in July 2019 from a four-month low of 2.5 percent in the previous month. Prices of food & non-alcoholic beverages rose 4.6 percent year-on-year in July, the highest since November 2017, after a 3.2 percent gain in June. Also, cost advanced faster for alcoholic beverages & tobacco (3.7% vs 3.3%); furnishing & household equipment (1.8% vs 1.6%); health (5% vs 4.8%); recreation & culture (3.7% vs 2.6%); restaurant & hotels (6.1% vs 5.8%); and miscellaneous goods & services (2.8% vs 2.2%). Meanwhile, inflation slowed for housing & utilities (3.4% vs 4%), while cost fell for clothing & footwear (-2% vs -1%), transport (-1.2 % vs 0.4%), and communication (-2.4% vs -2.8%). On a monthly basis, consumer prices fell 0.3% in July, after a 0.2% drop in June.

Lithuania Inflation Rate Slows to 4-Month Low
Annual inflation rate in Lithuania fell to 2.5 percent in June 2019, the lowest since February, from 2.7 percent in the previous month. Prices rose at a softer pace for alcoholic beverages & tobacco (3.3% vs 4.6% in May); housing & utilities (4% vs 4.6%); transport (0.4 % vs 1.7%); and restaurant & hotels (5.8% vs 6%). In addition, cost continued to fall for both clothing & footwear (-1% vs -1.2%) and communication (-2.8% vs -1.7%). In contrast, inflation advanced further for food & non-alcoholic beverages (3.2% vs 2.9%); health (4.8% vs 4.4%), recreation & culture (2.6% vs 2%); furnishing & household equipment (1.6% vs 1.3%); and miscellaneous goods & services (2.2% vs 1.7%). On a monthly basis, consumer prices fell 0.2% in June, the first monthly drop in six months, after a 0.2% gain in May.
